General Bakari is an experienced military officer and the adoptive parent of Janine and Tom de Luca.
History[]
Pre-apocalypse[]
After both parents of Janine and Tom De Luca died in a car crash, General Bakari adopted both children and moved to England to raise them, as he was a close friend of their parents. Bakari was tough by his father to make country proud and he tried to install the similar code of honor onto Tom and Janine. Although he remembers children to be "disruptive", both Janine and Tom enlisted into military and soon became MI6 top agents. General Bakari recognized early on Janine's potential and talent, although he warned her of Sigrid Hakkinen, a future-to-be Prime Minister and her great ambitions.
Early Apocalypse[]
Season Four[]
It is later revealed in season 4, that General Bakari was all along aiding Sigrid Hakkinen on her secret project. As General Bakari was the only person Janine felt she might ask for help during Sigrid's siege on Abel Township, Bakari's reveal as one of Sigrid's loyalists is treated as an ultimate betrayal of a father-figure. General Bakari additionally tried to kill Runner 5, although Runner 5 managed to escape with the help of Moonchild. After the inevitable demise of Sigrid Hakkinen, General Bakari was forced to flee the country.
Season Nine[]
We hear back from the General in season 9, when he tries to establish contact with Abel Township and send out a top-secret information from the Red Scorpion base.
