"Raise the gates!"

You tie your shoes, put on your headphones, take your first steps outside. You’ve barely covered 100 yards when you hear them. They must be close. You can hear every guttural breath, every rattling groan - they’re everywhere. Zombies. There’s only one thing you can do: Run!

Zombies, Run!

Zombies, Run! is a mix of a fitness app, a game, and an audio drama created by British studio Six to Start. The gameplay is simple: pick your favorite music playlist, start up a mission, and run! As you run, you will hear radio transmissions and dialogue from characters that tell the story of Abel Township, a small settlement of survivors living in the zombie apocalypse. You are Runner Five, and your job is to leave the safety of Abel's walls to search for supplies, rescue stranded survivors, and uncover clues about how the zombie apocalypse began...and maybe how you can end it.

While you run, you will pick up supplies that can be used to build and upgrade your Base once you complete the mission. But be careful - during missions, you may hear a warning that zombies are approaching. You'll have to speed up to escape them, and if they catch up to you, you will have to sacrifice some of those precious supplies to distract them and save your life.

Zombies, Run! currently has ten seasons with over 380 missions, most of which last between 30-50 minutes. Each season has its own Radio Mode that starts playing after the completion of a mission, which features Abel's local radio hosts giving news updates, offering survival tips, and just chatting about daily life in the apocalypse.

Zombies, Run! 5K Training is a modified Couch-to-5K program for new runners that tells the story of Runner Five's early days in Abel Township.

The Home Front is its own season of 35 missions that takes place after Season 6. The Home Front is based around workouts you can do at home, such as squats, planks, and jumping jacks. It was released at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic to encourage people to exercise while in quarantine.

The New Adventures are a series of shorter stories set outside the canon universe. These adventures come in a variety of genres, from sci-fi to fantasy to horror to historical fiction. There are more than 50 New Adventures available, with new ones being released nearly every month.
